No, its not starving yourself, or eating carrot sticks or even an all-protein diet.
Its very simple actually. 

The best diet to have and maintain an ideal weight is to eat everything but in moderation.
What? you ask. Is that it? Well, yes but you see 'moderation' is the keyword here.
So how do you indulge your desires but be moderate at the same time?

The first thing to know is that you should have a general idea about serving sizes of the stuff you eat, its not that difficult. Just decide how much is enough, let your eyes be the judge not your stomach.

Secondly, you should  have the guts to say stop to yourself when the safety limit is  just about to be crossed.

As you can see, with this type of diet, you  are your own dietician, quite a job, trying to control your own stomach that sometimes craves for ridiculous stuff!

If you were expecting some form of calorie chart or recipe advice, all I can say is: you cannot expect to follow that all your life, a time comes when the temptation to eat what you want drowns the will. So why don't we just eat sensibly instead. Now that is one sensible diet!
