Want To Put A Stop To Acne?

With so many acne home remedies out there, it can be a headache trying to find the best ones. So I did the work for you all by going through many of them, from mixtures to masks and finally scrubs.
Only four were able to make it to my list, read on to discover what they are and how you can add them to your routine apart from your daily light cleansing and moisturising (yes, you need a moisturiser even if your skin is oily!).

1- Baking Soda

I find that scrubs are way too harsh for sensitive skin, because that's what acne does, it makes your skin very sensitive  The only thing that I would scrub my face with is baking soda. It fights bacteria, removes dead skin and helps acne to heal faster. Massage into wet skin for just a few seconds, concentrating on where black heads are, by mixing a little soda with water to form a thick paste. Rinse, pat dry then follow up with the vinegar recipe below. I learnt this pH  balancing thing from a topic at the forum, check it out here. And it really makes a huge difference to the overall appearance of the skin.

2- Apple Cider or Malt Vinegar

Now since the baking soda was an alkaline, the skin pH value becomes unbalanced, to restore that, something acidic must be applied. In comes vinegar, either apple or malt. One part vinegar to four parts water can be applied with a cotton ball ( I make it in a larger batch and store it in an empty toner bottle, lasts me a week before I make a new batch)  Allow to dry then follow up with any acne medication or propolis tincture described below before moisturizing.

3- Propolis Tincture

Propolis is made by bees to keep infection in their hives at bay, so it has antibacterial and healing properties. I applied it to a cyst for the first time, the pain subsided a lot, a couple more applications and no trace of that annoying bump. Also it helped newly forming pimples quickly come to a head and disappear, so did the marks. This is definitely something I will take everywhere along with me, it has become my holy grail acne medication. Because it is a tincture, this means it contains alcohol, so it might sting just a little, nothing to be scared of.

4- Egg
I call this a blessing in a shell. Now I am about to say something most people would raise eyebrows at.
I believe that no skin tightening serum, anti wrinkle cream or mask can give you skin as smooth, tight and youthful the way an egg can. Its very simple, the egg works as a tightener, which is very good since acne leaves your skin looking saggy and hanging whilst the yolk acts as a moisturizer when used at least once every two weeks.
~ Separate the egg white from the yolk. A whole egg is too much, so just save the rest for an omelette if you want to.
~ Whisk the egg white with a fork, apply with a cotton ball all over your face, carefully pat under the eyes as well. Make sure you don't talk, since the white forms a mask-like layer on your skin, you don't want to feel funny.
~Leave to dry for 5-10 mins, then rinse and pat dry.
~Apply the egg yolk, leave for 3 minutes, then rinse and pat dry.
~ Lightly brush your fingers across your face to feel the new life added to your skin!

Hopefully, one of these remedies will help you in your battle with acne. If you have tried any of these, share your experience and any other remedy that you swear by.
