Yoga, anyone?

    Yoga rocks! And anyone who disagrees doesn’t know its benefits at all. It’s one of the things I look forward to everyday.
     One of the best things, I love about yoga is that, through various postures, you are exercise your internal organs as well. Stop and think about that for a moment. Have you ever felt sluggish from inside? Our stomach, liver and intestines need exercise too, and that’s where yoga comes in!
     There are many myths and misconceptions about yoga; mostly that yoga is some sort of religion. It is rather a science which uses both the mind and body to help create an overall healthy body.
     Also, some people think that a few days of practicing yoga would help them bend like a rubber band, well no; you need lots of practice for that. But it will definitely make you more flexible and tone your overall body, allowing each part to function well right from the first day.
     Other people consider yoga too slow in comparison to other exercises such as aerobics, running etc. What they forget is, in yoga; a state of relaxation; which is essential for us humans, is achieved during each session. In today’s fast paced world, the unhurriedness of yoga is a blessing in disguise.
